Alexander Shull is a Primary Care Paramedic in Ontario, Canada, with more than five years of experience in prehospital emergency medicine. In 2022, following the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, he began volunteering in the country to support medical and humanitarian efforts.

His first deployment focused on providing medical training to personnel in the frontline region of Zaporizhzhia. He returned in November 2022, working with a Ukrainian civilian ambulance organization conducting medical evacuations in the recently liberated city of Kherson.

In March 2023, Alexander joined the Hospitallers Medical Battalion as a Paramedic and Combat Medic, supporting frontline medical operations during the Battle of Avdiivka. He later returned to Ukraine in 2025, continuing his work with Hospitallers on the Zaporizhzhia front, providing medical support to units operating on the contact line.

These experiences exposed him to the realities of providing emergency medical care in resource-constrained and high-risk environments, ultimately contributing to the creation of Rapid International Medical Support. RIMS was founded to transform that experience into a sustainable organization focused on medical aid, practical training, and support for medical/humanitarian operations in communities affected by conflict and crisis.
